The Shraman Medical Scholarship Program aims to provide financial assistance to the needy MBBS students in India, enabling them to pursue higher medical education in Govt. Medical colleges across India.

Background behind the program: Scholarships for students in need

The Shraman Foundation is excited to fund scholarship opportunities for promising students in India. Shraman Foundation’s goal is to provide medical education opportunities to needy students pursuing MBBS course by leveraging high quality education platforms. Repeated studies show that access to education leads to alleviation of connected societal issues, including poverty.

Scholarship Package

The scholarship supports essential academic costs, including tuition fees, hostel and mess expenses, and other related educational needs that are not covered by central or state government offered scholarships. 

Scholarship Award

  • Upto Rs. 50,000 annually

  • Auto annual renewal process. No need to apply every year

  • Provision of scholarships until the graduation

Eligibility Criteria

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd year MBBS students

  • Annual Family income less than 5 lakhs

  • Students from any other government medical institute can write to us at info@shraman.org

Application Process

Selection Procedure

  • All applications received will be evaluated based on the information submitted using the application form link provided above. 

  • Students with the most financial need will be shortlisted and reviewed for further selection

  • All information submitted will be verified with the respective academic institutions

  • Telephonic and / or short Video Interview for Qualified candidates

Scholarship Renewals

  • Each student will have to establish a continued financial need to be able to renew this scholarship on an annual basis. 

  • Shraman foundation will arrange for a virtual interview with each student to approval renewal of the scholarship on an annual basis
